Our new training pool!!!!

We welcome you to book in & join us at Stanbridge Earls School newly refurbished pool. Liquid Divers is teaming up with Romsey's Sub-Aqua Club on a Tuesday night to offer an extra training opportunity between 7:30pm - 9:00pm. Local area map and picture of the pool is below:

Directions from M27 through Romsey
to Stanbridge 

By Road

Visitors motoring to Stanbridge Earls from London or the North should join the M3 at Sunbury. After Basingstoke, at exit 8 follow the A303. After about 8 miles take the left-hand turn signposted Stockbridge (A30). At the second roundabout entering Stockbridge take the A3057 for Romsey.

Those entering Romsey via other routes should follow the Stockbridge signs from the town centre.

The School is situated 1 mile along the B3084 (signposted Broughton) on the left-hand side. This B road leaves the Romsey-Stockbridge road (A3057) at The Duke's Head, 1 mile north of Romsey. There are signs to the School at this junction.

By Rail

If travelling from London, stop at Winchester and take a taxi direct to the School (a 25 minute journey). If travelling via Salisbury, phone for a taxi from Romsey Station.

Ali's Birthday weekend - Nutmeg Cottage, Osmington

We are back from our fab weekend away at Nutmeg Cottage, Osmington.  It was great being able to leave the car and just walk everywhere. We chilled out completely (apart from a trip to O-Three - but that's another tale!).  The cottage was amazing and we don't think it could be ever beaten! 

We where ready for anything after discovering the cottage on a last minute deal on eBay. 

Nothing could have prepared us for a wonderful warm stone cottage with the most amazing inglenook fireplace and stone staircase. 

We would definitely recommend this cottage for a romantic break or a fabulous stay in between some of Dorset's great dive sites (Swanage - Portland!). 

Osmington is 5-10 mins drive from Weymouth centre (on the A353) and has two good pubs you can walk to (Sunray - Beefeater type and the The Smugglers Inn - Happy Cheese Style) and good walks (along the cliffs to Lulworth or Weymouth or to the White Horse).

Superheros Crimbo & Early New Year Drinkies

Thanks to everyone who attended, we had a great time and it seems a good night was had by all others including:

Batman, Escaped Criminals, Cat-woman, Rudolph, Trinity to name just a few. 

Tink was still nursing his frail body well into the evening on Sunday as his Batman powers had frizzled out after his second taster of the green stuff (Melon Snaps) or was it the Southern Comfort. 

It was good to see John up and about, who may I say looked rather fetching with his new hair do.

Thanks to Carol for the extra nibbles & taking all the pictures... I am sure she will make them available soon - much to my delight!

Hope Tink has given you the plate back now that we have demolish your scrummy dessert - it was looovveeelllyyy...

Ranchos for Christmas dinner

Me, the 13th Earl of Wimbim, at Ranchos....at 2 o'clock in the morning.....with my reputation? Oh well, snap its horns off I'll be having it rare!!

Well,a good turn out for our annual Chritmas get together,it was great to see everyone.Started at the Platform Tavern for a couple of well earned drinks then up to Ranchos for what was an excellent meal and the usual muppetry!! Then back to the Platform for more drinkies,and even a quick dive! Well me and Claire managed to get wet!! wonder what we should log the depth at?

Anyway, hope you all have a good Christmas and we get to see you all on the 27th for more Muppetry in silly suits!!
